Gracie's Mission

We have two main goals at Gracie’s Flower Patch.

First, is to make the world a more beautiful place. One of Gracie Hebeisen's earliest memories is her parents reading the picture book Miss Rumphius by Barbara Cooney. In this book, Miss Rumphius lives her life adventuring, however, at the end of her life, she remembers something her grandfather told her: "You must make the world a more beautiful place." After much consideration, she decides to spread Lupine seed throughout her village to create beauty in her community. Our goal is to continue Miss Rumphius’ work and make the world a more beautiful place by spreading flowers throughout our community.

The second goal is to foster connection of generations through creativity, hard work, and beauty. Gracie’s first experience of gardens was with her grandparents. Every summer, she would go visit her grandparents in Minnesota for at least a month and help her grandpa with his veggies and her grandma with her flower garden. She remembers vividly how much work, love, and care her grandma put into the flowers, and how giddy she would get when her flowers bloomed. These core memories are fundamental to how Gracie views creativity and gardens. She hopes to share this devotion to creating beauty, that her grandma, and others in her generation fostered, with her own generation.

Gracie: Owner, Grower, Designer

Gracie, daughter of Honey Acres owners Ann and Jason, has always been passionate about creating art. She’s always trying to make something, whether it is a knitted pair of socks or performing a piece by Mozart or Bernstein. Gracie is continuing to create art through growing and designing flowers. She hopes to combine her two passions of creativity and hard work instilled in her by her mother and father into her new business, Gracie’s Flower Patch.
